Jane Gwynn – Planner Dashboard

Jane says:
I’ve created a simple planner dashboard for December with this “Santa” cut file and turned the title into a shaker pocket.   It’s my first ever shaker pocket – so proud!

I cut the title on white cardstock sized to fit my planner.  I made the shaker pocket by backing the title with acetate and then I lined the title with very narrow foam tape.  I literally shook the sequins into the spaces and then glued another layer of acetate onto that, sort of making a false back. This gives it a fabulous transparency to pick up any solid colour behind the dashboard.

To finish off I used some baker’s twine, a lovely little wooden button and some Simple Stories Christmas alphas.

Creating something for yourself at this time of year can seem like a bit of an indulgence.  However this project is practical as well as pretty so you can definitely give yourself permission to make something gorgeous for your planner or diary to help your get set for a great Christmas or a wonderful start to the New Year.

With love and colour
