Hi, Terri back with another of the fabulous pre cut Paige Evans Cut files. As soon as I saw the ‘Cactus Shelf‘ cut file I knew I had the perfect photos for it. Whilst wandering round the cultural centre in Hammamet, Tunisia there were a few cactus with arrows cut in their leaves to direct visitors.
I used the white cardstock version and added watercolours to the shape without adding gesso. This meant that it soaked in well to the card and gave a different, less smooth finish. I also finished it off with splatters of the same colours too. The plant pots were backed with patterned papers and vellum.
Recently I have been playing around with the Vicki Boutin Mixed Media Background papers and trying to use up some older stash. I paired the green background with Simple Stories Travel Notes collection. I haven’t added any extra media to the background as I didn’t want to detract from the cut file.
Lots of ephemera was layered under the top of the photos to finish off the layout.
